When choosing a media filter customer have a few options of media to use inside the filter. At Poolside North East we carry sand and glass as these are both very popular options. We are able to source other option if preffered, just speak to one of our team members and we can let you know of alternatives.
One of the most common filter media is Pure Silica (Sand). Creates a mesh so tight it can sieve particles as small as 20 microns. Sand should chemically cleaned each year to extend is life and maintain its maximum efficiency. This media should be changed every 3-5 years
